I traveled to Trempeleau WI to do senior portraits for Jeremy. He lives on a dairy farm with his family and there were lots of fun backgrounds to pick from. I think we got a big variety of images and angles. I had a fun time and could probably have spent a whole week playing around with all the old buildings. Mom kept repeating how she never would have thought of this or that for a background. Lots of laughs! It was hard to put the camera down.
Here are a few of my favorites from that day! Enjoy!

Three years ago I did senior pictures for one of Lucas’ older sisters, Karli. We had a fun time and mom mentioned her son and more senior pictures in a few years. Well, that day happened last Saturday. After days with rain lucked out with a nice dry day.
We started out with Elroy the dog. The house is surrounded with farmland and even some farm buildings. Needless to say, it was not hard to find fun places for pictures. With finished down on the highway and had a fun time. What a sweet family!
Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

One of my sweet nieces, Rachel, just had a baby, well actually it’s been about a month. He is soooo precious and has that wonderful baby smell. A while back they came over for lunch and I got a couple of snaps of the sleeping prince…and one of big brother playing on the floor. I should have taken lots more shots, but hey, sometimes you just gotta take it all in.
He is such a good baby, but I have hardly seen him with his eyes open. I guess it would help if I went to visit a little more often. Gotta find the time!
Enjoy these few shots of…baby Mario…as we jokingly call him.

Check out those itty bitty toes!
Last year my good friend wanted me to take some shots of her kids. Wouldn’t you know it…Dane either got his face scratched up or decided he needed a haircut…all by himself. Ha ha ha…kids are just fun! Well, last summer came and went. Finally, this year we made it work!
The girls were excited and Dane thought, after one or two shots,…hey this was easy…now I’m done…let’s play! Not so fast buddy! He was a trooper and we did a bunch more. After all the shots we all went on a little relaxing trip down the valley. Just wishing summer wouldn’t be all over so soon!
Here are some of the shots of these wonderful, beautiful kids…that I get to hang out with often. Enjoy!

It’s been too long since my last post. I’ll try to catch up with a few in the next few days. This summer has been crazy!
Last week I went down to Beaver State Park with Libby, Gabe, Pauley and their mom. As always, I had such a fun time with those guys. Love to chat away with mom. They have grown sooo much since last year!
We had the most beautiful weather and the place pretty much all to ourselves. Some of the shots I took while standing in the creek. I guess I need new rain boots, because my one foot felt icy cold all of a sudden. The kids had big eyes, when I took the boot off and poured water out of it. Later I managed to dip my butt in the water as well. Mom laughed at me and wished she had a camera…funny! Good times!
While the kids were sitting by the river throwing rocks in the water, there was a quick wind gust…then we had a slow shower of golden leaves falling quietly all around us…like snow. It was truly a magical moment!
Here are a few shots of those beautiful kids! Enjoy!

Just the other day I had the pleasure of walking around town with Kaley and her mother Kay. I couldn’t stop saying ooh and aah…it was so much fun! We were shooting senior pictures, but I was thinking Vogue…ha…ha… Kaley has the most beautiful face and the sweetest personality. Her blue eyes were just radiant! Love the fact that she had on her mothers boots…just as stylish today as when they were worn last. Stylish, because Kaley is good at putting together the right outfits…simple and classy or layered up and sassy. Love it!
We walked around and found one fun place after another. For such a small town, there are an amazing amount of “backdrops” you would never be able to buy.
Kaley knew without hesitating what she wanted to wear and at the very end even put on her leotard…the girl is a gymnast…and a graceful one at that, from what I can see.
What a treat for me to get to capture some moments of this wonderful young woman! Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of capturing Ian for his senior portraits today. Did we ever have fun. Mom came along and made things fun…later to be followed by his siter, Lexi. Too bad you missed it brother Jordan…we had a spot for you…next time!
On our way out out of town, heading for the farm, I pulled over and took full advantage of the overcast skies. The grain elevator in town have these new (relatively) grain bins that I’ve been eying up every time I’ve driven by. I was pretty exstatic to finally get to do a shoot there. As always, I took one shot, then another…I have to learn when to stop…but hey, I was having too much fun…we all did.
Here are a few from our shoot…alright, it’s quite a few… : )
Enjoy!

What a fun couple! What a sweet wedding! What a beautiful day! I truly feel honored to have been a part of this very special day for Natasha and Joey! Everyone were so nice, friendly and helpful. We got the “show” (meaning group photography) on the road right on time. We even got done ahead of schedule! Everyone seemed truly happy. What a fun day to be me!!!
Congratulations you two…what a wonderful couple!
Here is a little taste of their day! Enjoy!

Her bouquet was beautiful!

The dress sparkled like someone had thrown diamonds at it during the ceremony…

Simple and sweet shoes…

The rings…

Meeting for the first time on their wedding day…

…and taking it all in…

The morning was slightly overcast, which we took full advantage of…

I was actually laying on my back to capture the couple and the whole church…

Everyone…

The vows…

The ceremony…

Mr. & Mrs.

Congratulations!

Let’s celebrate…

…a quick stop in Houston…

…me, on the floor, again…

A quick stop by a cool mural in Caledonia…

I couldn’t resist…I had to capture the two of them in the phonebooth…

Walking along main street…

…watching the sunset…

…and finally, the first dance…
What a handsome little 6 month old boy! He had just woke up and while enjoying a dairy drink he was just smiling and talking up a storm. Those little ones sure have the sweetest sounds! He grinned and smiled and drooled non-stop for his mom and me.
Jacoby’s house is right next door to a golf course, so we headed for the “back yard”.
Check out the first couple of teeth in that sweet face.
After a little while big brother Jackson showed up and brought his big-boy tractor. Jacoby was pretty much done with the shoot right then…he’d rather check out the tractor. Well, I tried to squeeze in one more that I had envisioned as I got to his house initially. It just wasn’t happening though… Jacoby had had enough…it was time to explore instead. Oh well, what can you do…just love them. : )
Here are a few. Enjoy!

Friday morning looked gloomy and grey. I checked the weather forecase, which predicted more clouds and possibly rain. Oh well, I thought…you take what you get and make the best of it. Right before I left my one daughter looked at me and stated that the weather was going to be sunny and super ALL DAY. Thanks sweetie, I told her, thinking what a positive mind she had. As I drove to the Winnebago Valley Park, where the shoot would be, I could see blue skies to the north and…was I just imagining this or were the clouds going away…? By the time I got to the park the clouds were almost gone. Amazing!!!
I met Natasha last year when she and her mother came to visit me and see me and my work. Now I got to meet Joey. I think Joey smiled and made jokes the whole time. What a fun couple! What a treat! Later this summer I get to shoot their wedding as well. I’m very excited!
Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!
