I traveled to Trempeleau WI to do senior portraits for Jeremy. He lives on a dairy farm with his family and there were lots of fun backgrounds to pick from. I think we got a big variety of images and angles. I had a fun time and could probably have spent a whole week playing around with all the old buildings. Mom kept repeating how she never would have thought of this or that for a background. Lots of laughs! It was hard to put the camera down.
Here are a few of my favorites from that day! Enjoy!

Three years ago I did senior pictures for one of Lucas’ older sisters, Karli. We had a fun time and mom mentioned her son and more senior pictures in a few years. Well, that day happened last Saturday. After days with rain lucked out with a nice dry day.
We started out with Elroy the dog. The house is surrounded with farmland and even some farm buildings. Needless to say, it was not hard to find fun places for pictures. With finished down on the highway and had a fun time. What a sweet family!
Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Just the other day I had the pleasure of walking around town with Kaley and her mother Kay. I couldn’t stop saying ooh and aah…it was so much fun! We were shooting senior pictures, but I was thinking Vogue…ha…ha… Kaley has the most beautiful face and the sweetest personality. Her blue eyes were just radiant! Love the fact that she had on her mothers boots…just as stylish today as when they were worn last. Stylish, because Kaley is good at putting together the right outfits…simple and classy or layered up and sassy. Love it!
We walked around and found one fun place after another. For such a small town, there are an amazing amount of “backdrops” you would never be able to buy.
Kaley knew without hesitating what she wanted to wear and at the very end even put on her leotard…the girl is a gymnast…and a graceful one at that, from what I can see.
What a treat for me to get to capture some moments of this wonderful young woman! Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of capturing Ian for his senior portraits today. Did we ever have fun. Mom came along and made things fun…later to be followed by his siter, Lexi. Too bad you missed it brother Jordan…we had a spot for you…next time!
On our way out out of town, heading for the farm, I pulled over and took full advantage of the overcast skies. The grain elevator in town have these new (relatively) grain bins that I’ve been eying up every time I’ve driven by. I was pretty exstatic to finally get to do a shoot there. As always, I took one shot, then another…I have to learn when to stop…but hey, I was having too much fun…we all did.
Here are a few from our shoot…alright, it’s quite a few… : )
Enjoy!

It’s been busy lately! No posts since April. Gosh…not good. I like to update my blog with new stuff often, but I guess life just got in the way. For all the parents out there…you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Here are some graduation announcement cards I have worked on for some of my seniors. A lot of the cards have the same basic design, but are tweaked a little to fit each persons personality. One of my clients told me jokingly that she wanted to order all of them. Fun! I wish you guys all the best.
Enjoy! Feel free to comment. : )

Last night I finished off the session for Chris with a shot at the football field with him dressed to play. We only needed one shot…I think we did good.
I think he’s got his game “face” on. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of photographing Chris last week. We started off up town in a back alley with all kinds of backgrounds to pick from. Chris was a trooper! It was colder than I though, but he bravely posed in just a tshirt. I realized later how cold it really was. Thanks Chris!
After shooting in town we went to my studio (ie. livingroom) and the first thing I did was to “throw” him in our bathtub. His mom laughed and took a few shots with her cell phone. I think they turned out really cool.
I have A LOT of favorites, too many to show here, but I picked out a “few”. Enjoy!

Two years ago I had the pleasure of doing Jana’s older sister Brittany’s senior pictures. Then last year I did their cousin Nikki’s pictures. I knew I was in for a few hours of fun. Sure enough. Jana started out with her gorgeous bright yellow prom dress. She had all kinds of outfits lined up. Curly hair, straight hair, big dog, little dog, one cat, the moon (!), four pairs of shoes, a pole vault pole (that sounded funny), um’teen t-shirts, countless medals, trophies and ribbons we were done…or so I thought. Just one more outfit, Jana said. I had to laugh. This girl loves to get dressed up. She loves to fix her hair and she is sweet…just like Brittany and her mom. No offense guys, I just haven’t spent as much time with you. : ) I could have stayed all night visiting, they are a bunch of fun people!
Here are some of my favorites from that day. I kid you not. The last few we took outside I couldn’t even see her face.
What a fun shoot! First we did some traditional shots inside. Then we walked the back streets of Spring Grove and had some fun. Thanks for helping Jody!
What struck me the most about Zach was how happy his eyes looked. Easy going and agreed to everything I suggested. A great guy, inside and out! Here are some of my favorite shots.
